16-HOUR CA CCW CLASS--SB2
SPECIAL NOTE: We are only a vendor for the following cities: Alhambra, Baldwin Park, Bell Gardens, Claremont, Downey, El Segundo, Gardena, Glendale, Hawthorne, Irwindale, La Verne, Manhattan Beach, Pomona, San Gabriel, Santa Monica, Signal Hill, Southgate, Torrance, West Covina, Whittier, Palos Verdes Estates---Banning, Beaumont, Hemet, Menifee and Murrietta. This is a 2-day course mandated by SB2. Class starts at 9am each day. Our mission is to provide CA CCW Training for Non-LASD Applicants with an exciting and comprehensive understanding of state and federal laws as they apply to use of force, safe gun handling, marksmanship, situational awareness, basic mental health issues, less than lethal solutions, tactical considerations, 4-count draw and scenarios and live fire qualification. Classes are designed to be informal, interactive and life changing! The course is taught by retired US Military and Law Enforcement Officers with outstanding qualifications and a wealth of experience & knowledge in the field. This is not a beginners class! You must know how to disassemble and assemble your firearm(s) for inspection, as well as fix your stoppages on the firing line during range qualification. The class starts at 18429 Avalon Blvd, Carson and range qualification will take place at Insight Shooting Range, 17020 Alburtis, Artesia. You must bring a conceal carry holster for your primary firearm , as well as ammo for range qualification for each firearm on your CA CCW Application. If you are applying through a different police department outside of LASD, you must bring their range qualification paperwork. Police Department Standardized Course of Fire for Certification +Target: B-27 Target +Course of Fire: 24 rounds fired without time limitation at each of the (3) specified distance. + Firing Distances: 3 yards, 5 yards, 7 yards + Minimum Passing Score: 70% of rounds fired at each distance (17 of 24 rounds) must score within the 7-ring of the B27 Target. +Other Requirements: The student shall be required to safely load, unload, and reload their handgun during the course of fire, as well as correct all stoppages. + This course of fire shall be required for the first firearm you will be licensed to carry. All subsequent firearm qualification courses of fire shall consist of 20 total rounds--10 rounds at the 5 & 7 yards. The passing score will remain 70% of hits 7 of 10 rounds within the 7-ring of the B-27 target at each distance. REQUIRED GEAR AND EQUIPMENT Equipment / Ammunition: + Eye and ear protection + Conceal Carry Holster + Speedloader (Optional) + 2 to 4 magazines + Primary handgun (100 rounds of ammo) + 30 rounds of ammunition for each additional gun The gun(s) you intend to use on the permit must be used during the course.
